Islamabad: Commander Royal Navy of Oman, Rear Admiral Saif Bin Nasser Bin Mohsin Al Rahbi, met with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf to discuss mutual interests, regional maritime security, and bilateral naval cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visiting dignitary praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and recognized its ongoing efforts in maintaining maritime security and stability in the region. Following the meeting, both naval leaders signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the sharing of white shipping information, aimed at enhancing mutual awareness through established guidelines and procedures.
Pakistan and Oman share geographical proximity with common maritime boundaries. The bilateral relations between the two countries encompass economic cooperation, people-to-people contacts, and strong defense ties. The navies of both nations maintain deep professional relations, demonstrated through training, bilateral exercises, and participation in multilateral exercises.
