Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar has said there is complete unanimity in the House over the finality of the Prophethood of Hazart Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.Responding to a point raised by Sahibzada Hamid Raza, he said the recent verdict delivered by Supreme Court can be discussed at an appropriate Parliamentary forum for future course of action in this regard.The Minister, however, said no individual can be permitted to issue fatwa against others.Other lawmakers also demanded the constitution of a special Committee of the Parliament to discuss this issue by taking input from Ulema, scholars and legal experts.The Chair referred the matter to parliamentary committee on law and justice for further discussion.Several bills were introduced in the House today. These include: 'The Elections (Second Amendment) Bill, 2024', 'The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2024 (Article-9A)',' The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2024', 'The Pakistan Examination Board Bill, 2024', 'The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2024 (Article27)' and 'The West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order (Repeal) Bill, 2024.'The House also passed 'The National Excellence Institute Bill, 2024.'The House will now meet on Friday at 11 a.m.Source: Radio Pakistan
