Peshawar:Reports of a severe clash between police and protesters in the Bara area of Khyber district have been labeled as completely baseless and fake.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government's Fact Check addressed the circulating news on social media accounts associated with PTI. The reports falsely claimed that several police personnel were injured and some were abducted during the clash.

The Fact Check clarified that a few Afghan and local miscreant elements, allegedly in cooperation with certain PTI politicians, attempted to disrupt the law and order situation. However, the police took timely action to restore peace.

The situation remains peaceful, with no protesters on the roads, and the claims of injury and abduction of police personnel were dismissed as unfounded. The Fact Check urged the public to avoid believing or spreading such fake news.
