Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram called on new President of UN General Assembly, Philemon Yang in New York.He congratulated Philemon Yang on assuming the presidency of current session of the General Assembly and assured him of Pakistan's cooperation.Munir Akram welcomed the General Assembly President's focus on sustainable economic growth, peace, security and human dignity which are fundamental pillars of UN Charter.He expressed the hope that the United Nations will succeed in addressing the global challenges under the new President's wise leadership.He also discussed the agenda of the 79th session of UN General Assembly.The General Assembly President thanked Ambassador Munir Akram for his warm felicitations.Source: Radio Pakistan
