Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said government is taking all possible measures for provision of relief to electricity consumers.Talking to media in Islamabad today, he said an amount of fifty billion rupees out of the development budget has been diverted to provide relief to consumers using up to 200 units of electricity per month. He said a similar relief of ten rupees per unit is also being provided to industries.While talking about an on-going debate about IPPs, he said that the power producing plants are being shifted from natural gas and other expensive energy sources to coal power in order to reduce cost.Source: Radio Pakistan
