Lahore: Ambassador of the Philippines Dr. Emmanuel Fernandez called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today. During their meeting, they exchanged views on political and parliamentary cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif invited Filipino investors to explore investment opportunities in Punjab and assured them of full cooperation and all necessary facilitation. She highlighted that Punjab’s Special Economic Zones offer world-class infrastructure, tax incentives, and customs facilities, making it an attractive destination for international investors.

She also mentioned Lahore’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City and its upcoming title as ECO Tourism Capital 2027 as significant developments that will open new avenues for cultural and tourism collaboration. The Chief Minister emphasized that these opportunities could lead to fruitful partnerships and mutual growth between Punjab and the Philippines.
