Kotri Barrage Flood Level Begins to Drop After Hitting Peak Flow

Kotri: The flood level at the Kotri barrage has begun to drop after attaining the peak flows of more than four thousand twenty hundred cusecs. The barrage, located on the Indus River, had been experiencing significant water levels, marking a period of medium flood.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Kotri barrage received over four hundred and twelve thousand cusecs upstream and released about three hundred and eighty-six thousand cusecs downstream towards the Arabian Sea. This decrease in water levels provides some relief to the regions downstream of the barrage. The situation is being closely monitored to ensure the safety of the surrounding areas as the water continues to flow towards the sea.
