Islamabad made zero waste


On the special instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Clean Islamabad Mission was successfully completed on the second day of Eid-ul-Adha.

Under the Joint operation of Islamabad Police and Safe City, Islamabad has been made Zero Waste.

According to the details, on the second day of Eid, over 750 tons of waste was disposed off.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa has informed that so far 2507 tons of animal waste has been destroyed in the operation.

He said on the second day of Eid, 45 complaints related to cleanliness were received, which were resolved promptly.

Sanitation teams patrolled across the city including green belts, open spaces, drains and forest areas to ensure cleanliness.

The Chairman said along with disposal of animal waste, the cleanliness of the city has also been ensured.
