Iraq Shows Interest in JF-17, Super Mushshak Trainer Aircraft

Baghdad: Iraq has expressed keen interest in acquiring JF-17 Thunder fighter jets and Super Mushshak trainer aircraft. The interest was conveyed by Commander of the Iraqi Air Force, Lieutenant General Staff Pilot Mohanad Ghalib Mohammed Radi Al-Asadi, during his meeting with Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Baghdad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Iraqi Air Chief praised the professionalism and technological advancement of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and expressed interest in benefiting from PAF's training. He also appreciated Pakistan's role in maintaining regional stability.

Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu highlighted the religious, cultural, and historical ties between Pakistan and Iraq. He reaffirmed PAF's commitment to support the Iraqi Air Force in training and capacity development. Both commanders agreed to pursue joint exercises and training initiatives to enhance interoperability.

Earlier, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu was given a Guard of Honour at the Iraqi Air Force Headquarters, symbolizing the strong bond of mutual respect between the two nations.
