Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that despite efforts of a particular party to sabotage SCO meeting, the government successfully conducted the event in Islamabad.Responding to points raised by Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan in the National Assembly, he regretted the political posture of PTI, saying the party lacks patience and does not listen to the stance of other political parties.He recalled that the PTI during its tenure crossed all limits of political victimization and not even spared women political leaders of PPP and the PML (N).The Information Minister pointed out that the PTI is perturbed over the successful conduct of the SCO meeting, which recognized Pakistan's role in the region.Attaullah Tarar said the economic indicators are on the positive trajectory with remittances registering record increase, inflation coming down to single digit and surge in foreign exchange reserves.Earlier, the National Assembly was informed that no case has been reported abo ut the issuance of a fake passport to any non-Pakistani citizen.Answering a question during Question Hour, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said a passport is issued after proper verification process.He said the verification mechanism involves a compatibility with the NADRA data such as Family Registration Certificate to check any loophole.The House today adopted a motion to discuss the judicial reforms.It was moved by PPP Leader Syed Naveed Qamar.Leader of the Opposition Omar Ayub Khan commenced the discussion on the motion.The House will now meet tomorrow at 11 a.m.Source: Radio Pakistan
