IIOJK: Occupation Forces Intensify Raids Targeting Pro-Freedom Activists, Educational Institutions

Islamabad: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, army, police, and paramilitary forces have intensified cordon-and-search operations targeting pro-freedom activists and educational institutes.

According to Radio Pakistan, intensive raids were conducted at the residences of Jamaat-e-Islami members and institutes in Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam, and Kupwara districts. Forces’ personnel seized electronic devices, books, property, and bank documents during the operations.

The troops also raided Jamia Sirajul Uloom in Shopian and Jamia Islamia Institute in Kupwara. The operations are part of Indian efforts to suppress Kashmiris’ political and pro-freedom activities.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas has criticised India’s continuing repression, including arrests and house raids, warning that such measures violate international law and threaten regional peace. He called on the international community to ensure a just settlement of the Kashmir dispute for long-term stability in South Asia.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party condemned the raids on the Kashmir Times office in Jammu, terming them an attempt to silence independent media.
