Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has announced that the government is making every effort to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply to the public. This commitment comes despite significant resource constraints and a sharp increase in international oil prices.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a media interaction in Lahore, Ali Pervaiz Malik revealed that between 30 billion rupees and 40 billion rupees have been redirected to support vulnerable segments of the population. In addition, 180 million rupees were released in a single day to petrol pumps as part of a relief mechanism.

The Minister further explained that payments have been made across 7,400 petrol pumps nationwide, benefiting over 2 million registered citizens. He emphasized the government's proactive approach to managing fuel distribution to ensure public convenience.

Addressing concerns about the approaching winter energy demands, Malik assured that the government is carefully managing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) availability to prevent any potential shortages, ensuring a steady energy supply during the colder months.
