Islamabad: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has announced that the government is undertaking unprecedented initiatives within its institutions to serve as a beacon of guidance for future generations. He shared these sentiments while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of award-winning students at PBF International College in Islamabad. Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Zulfiqar Ahmed, and Director General Radio Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh, were also present at the event.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain highlighted that the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development is setting new benchmarks across its affiliated institutions, inspiring others to emulate. He emphasized the nation’s dependence on its youth, lauding their hard work, honesty, and integrity as key to shaping the country’s future. The Minister acknowledged the Workers Welfare Fund and its Secretary for their pivotal role in promoting education and providing quality learning facilities to the children of the working class.
He noted that through the Workers Welfare Fund’s efforts, students have excelled nationally and internationally, bringing honor to Pakistan. Emphasizing holistic education’s importance, Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated the necessity of nurturing a generation capable of global competition. He stressed that education extends beyond textbooks to instill awareness, tolerance, and human values.
The Minister asserted the need for moral and ethical development alongside academic growth, encouraging youth to serve the nation as their life’s purpose. He also paid tribute to PBF College Principal Sarah Mohsin, the teachers, parents, and administration for their dedication, and prayed for Pakistan’s progress, stability, and prosperity. Earlier, the Federal Minister planted a sapling at the college premises.
