Govt Ready for Dialogue With Opposition on All Matters: Tariq

Islamabad: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has expressed the government’s readiness for dialogue with the opposition on all matters. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he stated that the Prime Minister has repeatedly extended offers for dialogue to the opposition.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister appreciated the efforts of the National Dialogue Committee, noting that the committee would need to gain the confidence of PTI for successful dialogue with the government. However, he pointed out the existence of conflicting views within PTI regarding the talks.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhary suggested that the opposition could utilize the office of the Speaker National Assembly to initiate dialogue with the government. He emphasized the Prime Minister’s commitment to establishing an exemplary governance model in the country and mentioned that all ministries have been directed to present their performance of the past year before the public.

Discussing his own ministry, Tariq Fazal Chaudhary highlighted that the Grievance Wing of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is effectively addressing public complaints. The wing received between twenty and thirty thousand written complaints, along with thousands of complaints via telephone calls, and maintained a complaint disposal rate of ninety-three percent.
