Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and States and Frontier Regions Amir Muqam announced the formation of a committee dedicated to the restoration of the jirga system in merged districts. This committee aims to involve all relevant stakeholders, including parliamentarians, in its deliberations.According to Radio Pakistan, the committee will be composed of the Governor and Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as federal ministers responsible for law, interior, and planning and development. Muqam emphasized the government's intention to further the consultation process on this significant matter.Muqam also reminded the public that it was under the government of PML-N that the tribal districts were integrated with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting the ongoing commitment to addressing the needs and governance structures of these regions.
