Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, Engineer Ameer Muqam, has emphasized that the development of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) is the foremost priority of the federal government. This assertion was made during his meeting with the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, in Islamabad.According to Radio Pakistan, Engineer Ameer Muqam conveyed that the development projects recently announced by the Prime Minister are slated for imminent implementation. Highlighting the federal government's commitment, he also mentioned the establishment of a Counter Terrorism Department to ensure law and order in the region.During the meeting, both leaders engaged in an extensive discussion regarding the development projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and overall progress of Gilgit-Baltistan. They also deliberated on the current law and order situation, underscoring the importance of maintaining stability in the area to facilitate ongoing and future projects.
