Gilgit: The Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet has approved to establish sixteen new tehsils in the region, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency. The decision was taken during a meeting of the cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Gulbar Khan in Gilgit today.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a media briefing about the cabinet decisions, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information stated that the cabinet also decided to declare three hundred and fifty-four kanals of Attabad Lake as public property and provide compensation to the victims.
Additionally, it was announced that the health department would be digitalized to provide better healthcare facilities to the patients, marking a significant step toward improving health services in the region.
