A day of mourning was observed across the country today to express solidarity with the Palestinian brothers and sisters and to condemn the Israeli state-sponsored terrorism in Palestine.The decision to observe the day of mourning was taken at a consultative meeting of the allied parties held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair in Islamabad.Meanwhile, the funeral prayer in absentia for Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran, was offered after Jumma prayer in the entire country.Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Ministers including Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, high level government authorities offered "Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza" of Shaheed Ismail Haniyeh at the Parliament House.Later, special prayers were offered for high ranks of Ismail Haniyeh.Source: Radio Pakistan
