Islamabad: First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating polio and protecting every child from preventable diseases. In her message on World Polio Day, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari highlighted the steady progress Pakistan has made against polio, while also acknowledging that the task is not yet complete.
According to Radio Pakistan, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari emphasized that the remaining polio cases serve as a reminder that this is not only a health issue but a shared national duty. She urged for continued efforts to reach every home and community with the polio vaccine, stressing that each child missed is a child at risk.
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the health workers and security personnel involved in the national polio campaign, as well as those who lost their lives in this cause, stating that they will always be remembered. She encouraged parents, caregivers, and community leaders to continue supporting vaccination efforts, asserting that only with collective efforts and care can Pakistan achieve a future free from polio.
