Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet has approved the draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment, marking a significant step toward its presentation in parliament. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired the cabinet meeting via video link from Baku, where he expressed gratitude to the coalition leadership and praised the cabinet members for their collaboration.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Law and Justice, the Attorney General, and their teams, emphasizing the importance of the amendment in reinforcing the relationship between the federation and the provinces. He also extended his appreciation to the leaders of coalition parties, including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Abdul Aleem Khan, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Khalid Hussain Magsi, for endorsing the draft amendment.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s positive trajectory toward political and economic stability, attributing this progress to collective efforts. He called for continued collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the nation’s development and prosperity.
