Economic Expert Highlights Pakistan’s Path to Economic Growth

Islamabad:Dr. Shafqat Munir, an economic expert, has expressed optimism about the government's commitment to increasing Pakistan's economic volume to $100 billion. He emphasized that expanding trade, particularly exports, is essential to achieving this goal. Improvements in the supply of services and goods are necessary for this economic progress and growth.

According to Radio Pakistan, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has underscored the importance of this issue amidst the ongoing economic crisis stemming from the Middle East conflict. The minister believes that Pakistan is on the path to sustainable, investment, and export-led economic growth, having already achieved macroeconomic stabilization.

Dr. Munir suggested that Pakistan has the potential to export significant quantities of agricultural, livestock, and dairy products to the Gulf and other regions. By diversifying its trade, Pakistan can elevate its trade volume. He also highlighted the potential for growth in the meat industry, textile, and services sectors. To compete in the global market, Pakistan's services sectors must become more competitive. The government is working towards creating an investment-friendly environment, which could soon attract substantial international investment.
