DPM Calls for Sustained Pak-Bangladesh Engagement

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed Pakistan's readiness to work with the new BNP-led government of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, emphasizing a spirit of cordiality, mutual respect, and constructive engagement. This statement was made during a meeting with a delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed his satisfaction with the positive developments in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He expressed hope that the visit by the Bangladeshi delegation would help strengthen mutual understanding and institutional connections between the two nations.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar also highlighted the importance of sustained leadership-level engagement, institutional cooperation, and people-to-people linkages as key components in enhancing the relationship between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
