DG ISPR Rules Out Any Negotiations with Terrorists

Islamabad: Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has categorically ruled out any negotiations with terrorists. Talking to senior journalists today, he said Pakistan’s response to the recent Pak-Afghan tensions was both swift and effective.

According to Radio Pakistan, the DG ISPR reported that 206 Afghan Taliban fighters and 112 Khawarij terrorists were killed during the clashes. He added that talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban were held in Doha and Istanbul, focused solely on the elimination of terrorist activities originating from Afghan soil against Pakistan.

Emphasizing Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate terrorism, Lieutenant General Chaudhry revealed that 1,667 Khawarij terrorists, including 128 Afghan nationals, were neutralized in intelligence-based operations. He affirmed that Pakistan remains fully prepared to defend its borders and protect its citizens at all times.

The Director General ISPR noted that intelligence-based operations are continuing successfully in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He reiterated that Pakistan is sovereign in shaping its policies. He remarked that Afghanistan currently has an interim government which lacks public and political support. For Afghanistan’s development, he stressed the need for a representative government that enjoys the backing of all segments of society, including women.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also expressed concern over drug smugglers interfering in Afghan politics, stating that large quantities of narcotics are being smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan. In response to a question, he said that the decision regarding the Gaza peacekeeping force will be made by the government and parliament.

The DG ISPR stated that India is preparing for another false flag operation in the deep seas. He warned that India may act wherever it wants on land, sea, or airspace, but assured that this time Pakistan’s response will be more severe than before.
