Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad Awards Certificates to City Council Members at Karachi Training Session

Karachi: Deputy Mayor Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, attended a certificate distribution ceremony as the chief guest at a training session held for City Council members, organized by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's Department of City Institute of Image Management (CIIM). On this occasion, certificates were awarded to the elected local representatives who successfully completed the training.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, among the trained representatives were City Council members including Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Deputy Parliamentary Leader Dil Muhammad, Juman Darwan, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Sher Ahmed, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Gulfam Haider Hashmi, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam's Khawaja Ghulam Qamar, along with 45 Union Council Chairmen from various political parties.

Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad appreciated the efforts of the City Institute of Image Management and stated that this is the only department that provides training to elected representatives at the district level, playing an important role in public service. He added that a new training program has been designed for 322 elected local government representatives, which will commence soon.

The Deputy Mayor said that the Pakistan People's Party is serving the city without discrimination and is striving to improve the performance of various KMC departments to maximize public service. He emphasized that all political parties, regardless of their regional affiliations, will move forward together for the betterment and broader interest of Karachi, and together, we will work to improve our city.

He further stated that the training session provided City Council members with detailed insights into the council's code of conduct and other parliamentary norms. Experts delivered comprehensive lectures and briefed participants on the rules and procedures of council meetings. They explained the importance of parliamentary decorum and how to implement it effectively to serve the public better.

The objective of this training session was to inform City Council members about their responsibilities so that they can address public issues more effectively. This program, initiated by the City Institute of Image Management, may prove to be a new milestone in Karachi's political landscape, helping elected representatives perform their official duties more efficiently. Director of CIIM, Muhammad Shahid, was also present on the occasion.
