DataFest 2025 to Promote Culture of Data-Driven Decision Making: Naeem-uz-Zaman


Islamabad: The upcoming three-day DataFest 2025 is set to promote a culture of data-driven decision-making in the country. This initiative aims to enhance data literacy and provide a platform for connecting data producers with users to ensure effective data utilization.



According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Statistician of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Dr. Naeem-uz-Zaman, emphasized during a briefing with newsmen in Islamabad the importance of integrating and sharing data. He highlighted that DataFest 2025 will serve as a conduit for fostering a deeper understanding and application of data across various sectors.



Dr. Naeem-uz-Zaman further explained the necessity of presenting data in an accessible and comprehensible format. He stated that creating visuals and portals are essential aspects of effective data communication. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics is actively supporting organizations across various sectors, including health, livestock, crime, justice, and education, to leverage data for improved outcomes.



Following Dr. Naeem-uz-Zaman’s remarks, Muhammad Sarwar Gondal, Member and Spokesperson of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, provided a detailed briefing on the organization’s nationwide performance, reinforcing the significance of data in driving informed decision-making processes.
