Cold, dry weather expected in most parts of country: PMD

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, rain/thunderstorm with snow over the hills is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.

Foggy conditions are likely to develop over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad eight degree centigrade, Lahore fifteen, Karachi eighteen, Peshawar nine, Quetta minus one, Gilgit zero, Murree three and Muzaffarabad six degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla, cold, dry and foggy weather during morning in Jammu, while partly cloudy and very cold in Leh.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar, Shopian and Baramulla two degree centigrade, Jammu nine, Leh minus nine, Pulwama and Anantnag one degree centigrade.
