Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of police personnel in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan.She extended her condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families.The Chief Minister directed that an operation be launched to rescue the missing police personnel and ordered that the injured officers receive the best medical care.Meanwhile, Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Additional IG Special Branch, Additional IG CTD, and senior officers have departed for Rahim Yar Khan.IG Punjab confirmed the martyrdom of nine police personnel so far in a rocket launcher attack on police vehicles in the Kacha area, with reports of several other officers injured.Source: Radio Pakistan
