Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has highlighted the need for greater integration between research institutions and the national development agenda.He was addressing a symposium on Climate Change and Health Development Consequences in Pakistan, in Islamabad.The Minister highlighted the severe challenges Pakistan faces due to climate change, drawing attention to the devastating floods of 2022, which caused losses exceeding 30 billion dollars.He also emphasized the need for collaboration across various fields of science and technology.Ahsan Iqbal urged the Pakistan Academy of Sciences to bring together the country's top scientists to develop solutions that integrate science and technology with economic development.Source: Radio Pakistan
