Lahore: Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Pakistan, Muhammad Iqbal Hussain, has expressed Bangladesh’s commitment to building stronger relations with Pakistan across various areas. He emphasized this point during a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, the High Commissioner highlighted the significant potential for cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in the fields of sports and culture. The discussions focused on leveraging these opportunities to enhance bilateral relations.
The Punjab Governor underscored the close bond between the two countries, describing Bangladesh and Pakistan as ‘brotherly Islamic nations’ with shared values such as religion, history, and culture. He stressed the importance of increasing people-to-people contact to foster a deeper connection between the nations. The Governor also expressed optimism that the current government of Bangladesh would contribute to writing a new chapter in the bilateral relationship.
