Analyst Shares Accounts About Afghan Suspect in Washington DC Shooting


Washington dc: The Afghan suspect in the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in Washington DC, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, had previously opposed the Afghan Taliban. He had a history of working with the US military during his time in Afghanistan. Lakanwal relocated to the United States in 2021 and obtained US citizenship in 2025. Currently, US investigative agencies are examining his potential connections with terrorist groups and organizations.



According to Radio Pakistan, the US government maintains a critical stance towards the Afghan Taliban regime, holding it responsible for the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. This has led to discussions about the need for a campaign aimed at regime change in Afghanistan.
