Analyst Highlights Marka-e-Haq’s Role in Elevating Pakistan’s Global Importance

Islamabad: Amb. Ali Sarwar Naqvi, a former diplomat, emphasizes Pakistan’s strategic significance in South Asia and its evolving global role. He asserts that the international community has come to recognize Pakistan’s critical position, especially in the context of Afghanistan, its relations with India, and Middle Eastern affairs. The world, previously swayed by India’s narrative, has reassessed Pakistan’s importance following the May 2025 military clash with India, acknowledging Pakistan’s military strength and resistance to external pressure.

According to Radio Pakistan, this shift in perception has prompted increased engagement from global powers, particularly the United States. Former US President Donald Trump acknowledged Pakistan’s growing influence by hosting a luncheon for Field Marshal Asim Munir. Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address at the UN General Assembly garnered significant global attention, followed by a meeting with President Trump at the White House. These events have substantially enhanced Pakistan’s international standing.

Amb. Naqvi highlights Pakistan’s principled stance on international issues, which advocates for regional peace and stability. This approach has piqued the interest of the international community in Pakistan’s viewpoint on various matters. Indian analyst Pravin Sawhne also recognizes Pakistan’s unique diplomatic position, maintaining good relations with the US, Russia, and China. The change in global perception is a source of pride for Pakistan, although there may be expectations from the US, Pakistan remains committed to actions that align with its national interest.
