Acting President and GB Governor Deliberate on Regional Challenges


Islamabad: Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah met with Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad today to discuss issues of mutual interest.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on the political and law and order situation, as well as internal party affairs. A significant portion of the discussion was devoted to assessing the relief and reconstruction efforts in Gilgit-Baltistan after recent floods and heavy rains that resulted in considerable damage.



Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani voiced his concern over the hardships faced by the people of the region. He stressed the importance of a coordinated response by both federal and Gilgit-Baltistan government bodies to expedite the rehabilitation of affected families.



Governor Syed Mehdi Shah provided an update on the ongoing relief efforts, detailing measures taken to assist displaced persons and restore essential services. He expressed gratitude to the Acting President for his support and commitment to the welfare of Gilgit-Baltistan’s residents.
