78th Founding Day of AJK Celebrated with Pledge for Liberation


Muzaffarabad: The seventy-eighth Founding Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir state was celebrated on Friday with a renewed pledge to continue the struggle until the liberation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and accession of the whole territory to Pakistan. The day dawned with a twenty-one gun salute at the state capital, Muzaffarabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, special prayers were offered in mosques for the integrity and prosperity of Pakistan and the early liberation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In Muzaffarabad, the main function of the Founding Day was held at Pared Ground where AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq hoisted the national flag.



Meanwhile, in his message on the occasion, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kashmiris. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to extend its political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for self-determination.
