Islamabad: In a significant operation, various teams from the Islamabad Police, including Kohsar, Karachi Company, Shalimar, Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Koral, Humak, Phulgran, and Shahzad Town police stations, arrested 12 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities. The operation led to the recovery of 1,760 grams of heroin, 150 grams of ice (crystal meth), 10 bottles of liquor, six pistols with ammunition, and two daggers. Legal cases have been registered against the suspects as investigations continue.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests are part of a broader initiative aimed at apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the detention of five additional criminals. This campaign is in alignment with the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the force intensifies its efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety in the federal capital.
The Islamabad Police emphasize their commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of residents, stating that no criminal elements will be tolerated. The force prioritizes maintaining peace and security in the region.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to their local police station or via the emergency helpline "Pucar-15" promptly. The police believe that through collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community, crime can be effectively reduced.
