Youth critically injured as Indian police fire pallets in IOK

Srinagar, April 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a youth was critically injured when Indian police fired pallets on peaceful protesters in Palhalan area of Baramulla district. People took to the streets in Palhalan and staged pro-freedom demonstrations.

Indian police used pallet guns to disperse the demonstrators resulting to critical injuries to a youth, Sajad Ahmad. Sajad received pellets in heart and was shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar for treatment. People also staged anti-India demonstrations in Bandipora, Baramulla and Kulgam areas. Indian police and troops used brute force to break up the demonstrations.
