Srinagar, January 23, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) has paid glowing tributes to the noted Mujahid commander, Mohammad Yousuf Chopan alias Nooruddin Zangi on his 16th martyrdom anniversary and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion.
A prayers session was conducted at the grave of grave Mohammad Yousuf Chopan under the auspices of JKFPL which was participated among others by party leaders and activists including General Secretary, Mohammad Ramzan Khan, Imtiaz Ahmad Shah, Arshad Aziz, Arshad Ahmad Butt, Gulzar Ahmad Khanday, Ghulam Nabi Khanday, Mohammad Yousuf and Zubair Ahmad.
On the occasion, the speakers said that the contribution of Mohammad Yousuf Chopan for the Kashmir liberation movement would always be remembered. Mohammad Ramzan Khan in his address said that Yousuf Chopan was among the frontline Mujahid Commanders who was martyred by Indian troops in 2000. Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders including Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqui and Hakeem Abdul Rashid in their joint statement paid glowing tributes to Mujahid Commander, Mohammad Yousuf Chopan on his 16th martyrdom anniversary who was martyred in custody by forces.
Hurriyet leaders, Firdous Ahmad Shah and Farooq Ahmad Tauheedi in their separate statements issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to Mohammad Yousuf Chopan. They said that the blood of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs. They also paid homage to the victims of Gaw Kadal, Handwara and Kupwara massacres, saying that the killings and harassment could not suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment.
