Srinagar, March 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja, has hailed the resolution unanimously passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan reaffirming the country’s support to Kashmiris in their just liberation struggle and demanding of India to return the mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru to his family.
Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the resolution of Indian parliament terming Kashmir as integral part of India. She said that international pressure was increasing on New Delhi to settle the Kashmir dispute and the day was not far away when the Kashmiris would get rid of its illegal occupation of their soil.
She also condemned the continued detention of senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and his shifting from Srinagar central jail to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu, under the black law, Public Safety Act (PSA).
Yasmeen Raja said that India wanted to weaken the freedom sentiments of Kashmiri people through arrests, detentions, curfew and restrictions but it would never succeed in its ulterior motives.
She appealed to the world community to put pressure on India to give up its unrealistic approach and settle the dispute through negotiations, which she said was in the larger interest of the region besides India and Pakistan.
