Yasin Malik to observe hunger strike against killings

Srinagar, September 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik will observe a token hunger strike on Tuesday at the Partap Park in Srinagar against the growing barbaric and mysterious killings. Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement in Srinagar, condemning the brutal killings of three more innocents at Sopore and Kunzar that included a three years old child, said that the mysterious killings had opened a new chapter of brutality and barbarism and Kashmiris would not remain silent on the tyranny.

He added that only an international probe into the gruesome killings could expose the faces of real killers.He appealed to the international community to come to the rescue of innocent Kashmiris and hold an impartial probe to expose the ugly faces behind the recent mysterious killings in the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, on the directive of JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, a high-level delegation comprising advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Abdul Rashid Magloo, Molvi Reyaz, Abdul Qayoom and Ghulam Qadir Khan visited Sopore and met with the bereaved families of martyr Aamir Ahmad Reshi (Hardshiva Sopore), Shaheed Naveed Ahmad Khan (Betpora Sopore) and Aashiq Ahmad Wani (Lolipora Pattan).

The delegation first went to Hardshiva and then to Batpora Sopore and then to Lolipora Pattan and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of all martyrs and prayed for their heavenly abode. On the occasion, Bashir Ahmad Butt and Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, said that the barbaric killings had no place in civilized societies.
