Srinagar, October 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik has urged the big powers of world to play their effective role for settlement of the Kashmir dispute to ensure peace and stability in South Asia.
Addressing members of Bar Association and people in Islamabad town, today, Muhammad Yasin Malik called upon the Kashmiri intellectuals to come forward and highlight the sufferings of the Kashmiris at the hands of the Indian armed forces through their speeches and writings.
Condemning the incident of abduction of a mother of three children by the men in uniform at Zalangam in Kokernag, Muhammad Yasin Malik demanded stern action against the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the arrest and harassment of youth at Zalangam in Kokernag, who were protesting against the abduction of the woman.
The High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir at a meeting in Srinagar strongly condemned the incident. The Bar deplored that instead of arresting the culprits, the police had booked 12 innocent persons for protesting against the incident to subvert the process of law and save the perpetrators.
APHC leader Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a meeting in Srinagar demanded probe through the United Nations Military Observers Group into the incidents along the Line of Control in Rajouri.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter at a meeting in Islamabad on the anniversary of devastating 2005 earthquake praised the role of the people of Pakistan, army and NGOs for extending all-out support to the victims in Azad Kashmir and Abbottabad. The meeting was presided over by its Convener, Syed Yousuf Naseem.
