Islamabad, April 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted widespread rain/thundershowers with scattered heavy falls in Balochistan and scattered rain/thundershowers in Sindh on Sunday/Monday.
Spokesman of Pakistan Meteorological Department informed that an active weather system presently giving rains in Iran and UAE is heading towards Pakistan and is likely to grip Balochistan on Sunday. Under the influence of this weather system, widespread rain/thundershowers (with scattered heavy falls in Makran and Kalat divisions) are expected in Balochistan on Sunday and Monday.
Rain/thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (with isolated heavy falls) is also expected in Sindh (including Karachi), Punjab and Islamabad on Monday/Tuesday. Isolated rain/thundershowers may also occur in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday/Tuesday.
The irrigated areas of wheat and cotton crops in Sindh and Punjab would receive scattered rain/thundershowers with gusty winds on Monday/Tuesday. The farmers are therefore advised to take precautionary measure during the period.
