Waza urges world to help stop abuses in IOK

Srinagar, December 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that India is committing grave rights violations in the territory. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a seminar at Raj Bagh in Srinagar said that the so-called democratic face of India had been exposed to the international community after resorting massive arrests, killings, massacres and other human rights violations. Referring to the World Human Rights day, he urged the role of world community to help stop abuses in the territory.

He said that Indian forces had mostly victimized children in Kashmir. “Glaring example of how Indian forces victimized children and killed them is 2010 when forces killed over 100 persons, mostly teenagers, for staging peaceful protests,” Waza said and urged the international community to help ensure safety of children in Kashmir.
