Karachi: We are pleased to notify you that response to our request for extension in period for holding Annual General Meeting for the period ended June 30, 2011, Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has approved the extension. Please find enclosed a copy of approval totter No, EMD/233/750/2010/293. Dated October 13, 2011 received today, from Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan allowing extension in time for holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) for a period of 30 days i.e., 30-11-2011, as per the provisions of section 158 and 233 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984.

Please refer to your application dated 3.10.2011 and subsequent 1etterrs/emails dated 7.10.2011 and 12.10.2011 requesting extension for holding of Annual General Meeting (AGM) and laying of annual audited accounts for the year ended 30.6.2011 of Wateen Telecom Limited (“the Company’) for a period of 30 days i.e.upto30.11.2011.

In this connection, I am directed to inform you that the Commission has allowed extension in period for holding of AGM and laying the anua1 audited accounts of the Company for the year ended 30.6.2011 for a period of 30 days i.e. up to 30.11.2011, ns per the provisions of Section 158 and 233 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984.
