Veterinary department seize 1826kg illegally slaughtered meat

Karachi: Following the directive of Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Muhammad Hussain Syed a mobile team of Veterinary Services Department carried out raids on the illegal and unauthorized slaughtering of animals and seized a total of 1826kg illegally slaughtered meat which was deposited in the Alamgir Welfare Trust and Edhi Home.

Administrator KMC had directed Veterinary Services Department to continue the campaign against illegal slaughtering of animals so that such practice in the city could be discouraged. The team of Veterinary Services Officials conducted inspection of illegal slaughtering of animals from 25th January to 16th February in various areas of city and seized the illegally slaughtered meat.

They took the action in Shah Faisal Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Dhoraji Society, Landhi, Muhammad Ali Society, Tariq Road, Bihar Colony, Shershah, Burns Road, Garden, Ranchoreline, Quaidabad, Model Colony, Khokhrapar, Liaquatabad, Ranchoreline, Kharadar, Baloch Colony, Saddar and Empress Market area.
