Srinagar, June 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the International Forum for Peace and Justice has announced a three-day peaceful protest calendar from June 11 to push for initiation of action against the Indian army and police personnel involved in the killings of Kashmiri youth during 2008 and 2010 uprising.
The Chairman of IFPJ, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement in Srinagar said that a silent sit-in would be held in Srinagar on June 11 to express solidarity with the martyrs belonging to Central Kashmir and another such protest would be staged in Baramulla on June 13 to memorise the martyrs from Northern Kashmir.
A similar protest will be held in Islamabad town in memory of the martyrs hailing from Southern Kashmir, he added.
Meanwhile, a Srinagar-based human rights watchdog, Voice of Victims has said that the occupation authorities were using the so-called Human Rights Commission to cover up the discovery of thousands of unmarked graves in the territory.
The Executive Director and Chief Coordinator of the Voice of Victims, Abdul Qadeer Dar and Abdur Rauf Khan in a joint statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the authorities were showing lacklustre response towards inquiry about over 10, 000 disappeared persons over the last 23 years in the territory.
