Unnecessary promotions should be cancelled: Sindh Health Minister

Karachi, August 12, 2015 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that all unnecessary promotions in Sindh Health Department should be cancelled at once and these promotions should be given to those who deserve for it. This he said while presiding over a meeting of Divisional Health officers here on Wednesday. He said that following Supreme Court’s Order all deputations in Health Department to be cancelled and cases of corruption to be referred to anti-corruption. Unless the department free from corruption, matters could not be tackled in proper way.

He added, ‘It is brought in his knowledge that in certain districts unnecessary promotions have been given to promote favourism, while deserved have been deprived of their rights.’ Provincial Health Minister directed all the heads of government hospitals to make free their hospitals, from politics and all kinds of mafias and ban the entry of all irrelevant people so that proper care may be given to the patients.’

Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said that it was the need of the hour that government hospitals should pay full attention in performing their duties and shortage of medical staff to be meted out. On this occasion Provincial Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar expressed his dissatisfaction over the performance of Civil Hospital Sukkur.
