Lahore, March 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): The US Pakistan Business Council (USPBC) led a trade mission to PBIT. The Delegation represented a wide range of industry sectors such as advertising and public relations, agriculture, energy, consumer goods and IT.
The delegation included Mr. Miles Young, Worldwide Chairman of Ogilvy and Mather also President of USPBC, Ms. Esperanza G. Jelalian, President USPBC, Ms.Carolyn L.Brehm Vice President Global Government Relations and Public Policy, P and G also member Board of directors USPBC, Mr.David C. Wilhem, Partner and Chief strategy Officer, Hecate Energy and Mr.Kamran Qamar, Financial Controller Cargill International Trading Pte Ltd.
The delegation was welcomed by Director Communications and PR, Ms. Tayyaba Kamal and Deputy Manager Investor Relations, Mr.Shehryar Rana.
Mr. Anwar ul Haq, Additional Director Corporate Finance, apprised them about PBIT and its achievements and gave them a brief presentation about the investment opportunities in Punjab particularly energy sector.
Ms. Carolyn L.Brehm appreciated efforts of PBIT and said that the main purpose of their visit was the promotion of green fields of Pakistan and to promote one image of Pakistan.
USPBC is the only organization in Washington, DC dedicated to the broad advancement of U.S. commercial engagement in Pakistan. The Council is testimony to the increasing interest in Pakistan as an investment target for U.S. companies.
