United States Embassy Brings American Rock n’ Roll to Pakistan

Islamabad: American rock band Blood Moon Therapy will kick off a two-week tour with a concert in Islamabad on Saturday, March 31, 2012.

Blood Moon Therapy is a New York City-based rock band, recently formed by front man Michael Lombardi. Lombardi starred in the hit TV show Rescue Me and was the lead singer for the group Apache Stone. The band will also be performing with Abbas Ali Khan’s Sufi Synthesis Project.

Rock music first developed in the United States in the 1950s and has evolved into an art form that celebrates the American value of free expression. Rock music also gives young people a voice with which to express themselves. The program is part of the U.S. Department of State’s ongoing cultural exchange programs.
