Islamabad: Latest figures consolidated by the State Bank of Pakistan and released by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) show that during the first six months of the current fiscal year the United Kingdom continues to be the topmost market of Pakistani exports to Europe. Pakistan exported goods worth US$ 763 million to the United Kingdom in the first six months of FY 2011-2012, says a press release received from London here today.
The United Kingdom was followed by Germany as the second biggest market in Europe for Pakistani exports, with $ 714 million worth of Pakistani exports to Germany in the first six months of this fiscal year.
Pakistan’s total exports to Europe in the first six months of this fiscal year are $ 3.84 billion, an increase of 11.3 % over the same period last year.
In 2012, the United Kingdom also continues to maintain its position alongside U.S.A., U.A.E, China and Afghanistan as one of the top five markets for Pakistani exports.
