UNICEF trains PTCs in 680 schools of KP’s tribal districts

United Nations International Fund for Children (UNICEF) has supported activation and imparted training to 680 Parent Teachers’ Councils (PTCs) in 680 schools of the newly merged tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to document of the UNICEF Pakistan, nearly two thousand two hundred Parent Teachers’ Councils members including more than one thousand one hundred and sixty females were imparted training regarding the role and responsibilities and safe functioning of schools in South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Khyber, Kurram and Orakzai districts.

It further said that eleven prefabricated school were completed and handed over to the district departments of education in South Waziristan district.
