Islamabad: A two-day expo organised by Islamabad Women Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) is being kicked off today (Saturday)
The Women Expo 2012 titled “Women in Creative Industry” will be opened at Jinnah convention centre with an aim to promote women in business and to make their products known.
The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, First women Bank Limited, Khushali Bank and other institutions are taking part in the expo to encourage women empowerment initiatives.
Samina Fazil, founder president IWCCI said that we are striving for empowerment of women and supporting women entrepreneurs. She said that skill development and networking will help women improve their economic conditions.
Exhibition has attracted large number of entrepreneurs from all over the country and we hope this event will prove a game changer, she said.
We will help women find new buyers and new markets, provide free counselling and continue to struggle for gender equality.
She hoped that women will overcome obstacles which are impeding their growth.
